The Meadowlands Museum is a non-profit, non-political center for the preservation and education of regional history. It is operated by a volunteer staff and volunteer Board of Trustees, and it welcomes the efforts of all who are committed to discovering and preserving the unbiased history of New Jersey's Meadowlands region, and helping to tell our multi-facetted story.

Current Rotating Exhibit
Vintage Doll Houses
The Meadowlands Museum is showcasing its collection of vintage dollhouses and doll house furniture from the early 1900s in a special exhibit.
This Exhibit will be open to the public until
May 15, 2024.
Come visit to see this special collection on temporary display, and also enjoy our permanent display of antique toys and dolls.
Museum Hours are Saturdays from 10-4 pm.
Ongoing Exhibit
From Edison's Phonograph to Streaming:
The History of Music and Sound Playing and Recording Devices -
New Jersey's Role in its Beginnings.
From Edison's wax cylinder record, to flat disc records and record players, to radios, to stereo systems with speakers, to reel to reel tape recorders, to cassette tapes and compact discs and MP3 players, to smart phones with wireless headphones, to streaming technology - this exhibit traces the history of sound equipment. Come see the memories of your listening history, and what things looked like before you started listening to recorded sound.

Cultural and Historic Affairs, Department of Parks, through a General Operating Support grant from the New
Jersey Historical Commission, a division of the Department of State.
The Meadowlands Museum was grateful to be a recipient of a 2020 COVID-19 Response Grant from the NJ Council for the Humanities, which was made available through the CARES Act funding that was allocated through the NEH. This Grant covers some of the Museum's General Operating Expenses during this time of the COVID -19 pandemic.
