Family Scarecrow Day

In keeping with our history as an early NJ/Southern Bergen County farmhouse, on the first Sunday of every October at 2:00 in the afternoon, we hold our annual Family Scarecrow Day.  Participants pay a small fee for their family or group to register.  We set up wooden frames on our front lawn, the Meadowlands Racetrack Backstretch Operations donates straw and we set up tables of clothes and accessories that participants can choose from to “dress” their scarecrows.  Each group adopts a scarecrow frame and they make their own unique scarecrow that will stand on the Museum’s front lawn for the month of October.  When you are done there is apple cider and donuts served.  Consider joining us this year.  Our 2010 date is October 3rd.
